Damn.. LeBron really went all out on this shoe. The Lebron X “Cork” was inspired by the tradition of popping bottles after any major event, and it’s only right since the King received his first ring after 8 years. This shoe was put together by Nike, behind LeBron’s idea, showing off both design and performance. The LeBron X “Corks” come in a regular lebron box but select stores will have the special edition wooden box. The unveiling of this shoe at the Shoe Gallery was something special, and these shoes are releasing in very limited quantities. These shoes were set to release sometime in late December, but were pushed back to Mid-January.

The LeBron X is the tenth shoe in LeBron’s signature line of shoes, and the fourth model designed by Jason Petrie. Ever since Petrie has taken on the role of the LeBron line, Air Max has been the primary source of cushioning to provide both comfort and performance. This specific model had a bit of controversy to it prior to the release when reports were released that the shoe would retail for $315, which was a complete lie. The price of the shoe varies, depending on if you prefer Nike+ or not.

The Lebron X “Cork” features an all cork material upper with a leather tongue in a brown color with hints of red all around the shoe, especially on the air units. The midsole is in a white color, with ripples on the carbon fiber midsole. The actual upper & swoosh on the shoe are two different colors, but are still made out of the same cork-like material.The Lebron X is infamous for the tongue which is very durable and comfortable, which is definitely a plus. The hints of red on the eyelets just add the finishing touch to the shoe and accent it very well.
